What’s the plan

As I have mentioned previously that I had to drop down to part time at my work place due to being a stay at home father to my young daughter, which is fine. I had plans to travel around to a few other bakeries to learn from the chefs there but that has gone out the window. The plans for me to open my own bakery is also on hold, sort of. The plans for having a brick and mortar store is on hold, but there are other ways.

In most states across the country they allow cottage food bakeries to exist. It is a small at home bakery that each county has their own regulations on how they can operate in accordance to state laws. Doing a cottage food bakery will allow me to get started in my dream of owning a bakery, now it may not be what I originally planned but one thing I have learned over the years is to be flexible. Plans always change, the world is constantly changing so I must be willing to as well.

With that said, I am working on setting up a website to start my own cottage food business that you will be able to access on this site. The offerings will be cookies and financiers. While these items seems simple, which they are, it will work quickly into my already crazy schedule of being a full time entertainer (parent). It will be a learning experience but it will be well worth it.
